Woori Bank to face Toyota in the opening match of the Park Shinja Cup…Korea vs. Japan

The Korea Women’s Basketball League has confirmed the groupings and game schedule for the 2023 Woori Bank Park Shinjah Cup, which will take place from September 26 to September 3 at Cheongju Gymnasium in Chungcheongbuk-do, North Chungcheong Province.

The largest ever edition of the tournament will feature 10 teams from four countries – Korea, Japan, Australia and the Philippines. The opening game of the tournament will take place on the 26th at 11am. It will feature a Korean-Japanese clash between Woori Bank, which won the overall title last season, and Toyota, the runner-up in the Japan W-League.

A maximum of four games will be played per day. The group stage runs through Aug. 31. On Sept. 2, there will be a quarterfinal tournament and ranking game.

The tournament finals will begin at 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 3.
