‘Man of the Revolution’ Belangel re-signs with KOGAS for two years…”I’m a huge Daegu fan, happy to see you again”

Daegu KOGAS has re-signed Filipino AsiaQuarter SJ Velangel ahead of the 2024-25 season.

He will sign a two-year contract worth $195,000 per year.

The first Filipino player to play in the KBL, Belangel spent last season with KOGAS adjusting to the KBL and showed improvement, averaging 12.6 points and 3.8 assists in 28:52 minutes of action and earning a nomination for the 먹튀검증 Rookie of the Year Award.

He became one of the best offensive and defensive balanced players in the KBL, especially under the guidance of coach Kang Hyuk. He was the de facto ace of the KOGAS team in the 2023-24 season and was re-signed for that performance.

“I’m excited to be back in front of the passionate Daegu fans. With the experience I have gained over the past two years, I will try to maximize the synergy with my teammates and do my best to achieve the playoffs that Daegu fans have come to expect.”

Meanwhile, Vellangel is expected to arrive in the country on June 2 and join training on June 3, the day of the call-up.
