Chelsea ‘troublemaker FW’ Jackson says “I want to be good…I’ll try, see you next year”

Nicholas Jackson (22-Chelsea) has finally spoken out about his ongoing poor form.

“I’ve missed quite a few chances and I should have scored more goals,” he told Goal.com on Tuesday, adding, “It’s not what I wanted when I joined Chelsea because the goal was to qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season.”

“Whether I score 10 goals or 15 goals, the most important thing is to perform well and make the fans happy,” Jackson added, “I’m trying to improve every day. I want to create more chances and score more goals, and I believe I can do that next year.”

Jackson, who switched to Chelsea from Villarreal last summer, has fallen short of expectations this season. His 13 goals and five assists in 39 games is not bad for an attacking player, but he has been heavily criticized for missing several chances in crucial situations.

His recent form has been particularly poor as Chelsea continue to battle for a European spot. Aside from his goal against Everton, he hasn’t scored in five games in April. Without Cole Palmer, Chelsea have been without a goal scorer.

The good news is that he’s still young and has a lot of potential to improve. His ability to take chances is impressive, and if he can improve his finishing, he could be a top-class player.

Chelsea are also forced to hold onto Jackson. At the moment, they have to avoid aggressive investment as much as possible to avoid breaching PSR (Premier League Financial Regulations), which means they have to hope and pray that the players they have ‘explode’.

First and foremost, Jackson wasn’t originally brought in to play up 먹튀검증 front. Victor Osimhen (SSC Napoli) and Dusanj Vlahovic (Juventus) were Chelsea’s top priorities in the summer transfer window, but the timing of the move for Romelu Lukaku (AS Roma) stalled and they had to settle for Jackson.

Currently, Chelsea is in ninth place in the Premier League with 48 points from 33 games, 13 wins, 9 draws, and 11 losses. It’s still mathematically possible to catch fifth-place Tottenham Hotspur (60 points), so the Blues are determined to take as many points as possible from their remaining games and challenge for European qualification.
