‘365.2 billion if you want Mbappe!” PSG vs ‘25.37 billion only…” Real Madrid
Real Madrid’s desire for Kylian Mbappe (PSG) remains strong. But the difference in price is huge.
“With Mbappe wanting to leave PSG, a transfer fee has been set,” said AS on Feb. 22. “PSG wants €250 million (KRW 365.2 billion) for Mbappe. Of course, PSG are also in talks with Mbappe to renew his contract.”
In the preseason, Mbappe was at odds with PSG over whether to re-sign with the club. Mbappe’s insistence that he would leave the club as a free agent next year without a contract set up a standoff with PSG.
Notably, Mbappe turned down an astronomical offer of nearly 1 trillion won from Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal offered Mbappe a transfer fee of €300 million (KRW 42.65 billion) and a salary of €700 million (KRW 99.5 billion), with the option to move to Real Madrid after one year.
But Mbappe was determined to stay in Europe and rejected Al-Hilal’s offer.
As a result of his decision to leave, Mbappe was dropped from the PSG first team. He was also excluded from the pre-season Asian tour.
After the departure of Lionel Messi and Neymar, PSG was about to lose all three of its superstars. That’s when Mbappe reached a dramatic compromise with PSG.
First, Mbappe agreed to play the rest of the season as a free agent, with a minimum agreement that he would not leave the club.
Mbappe, who joined the team on July 13, was left off the second round roster due to a short training period. Mbappe made his presence felt when he came on as a substitute against Toulouse on Oct. 20 and scored the equalizer.
“PSG is a divisive team,” Mbappe said before he was dropped from the first team.
According to European soccer transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, “Mbappe has informed PSG that he will not exercise the option to extend his contract until 2025. PSG are furious and are planning to sell Mbappe in the summer transfer window.”
In the meantime, there have been a number of teams interested in Mbappe. Real Madrid, Saudi Arabia, Chelsea, FC Barcelona, and many others have been interested in Mbappe.
PSG had planned to sell if the transfer fee was right. Mbappe has one year left on his contract, so if they don’t sell this summer, they’ll have to let him go next year as a free agent. Letting superstar Mbappe go for no transfer fee.
But in the end, Mbappe returned to PSG. He’s still under contract, so he’s been training.
“We had a very constructive and positive conversation with Mbappe. Mbappe has returned to first-team training,” the club announced on its website. Mbappe came on in the second 토토사이트 leg and scored his first goal of the season on a penalty kick.
However, Real Madrid are still pushing for a move for Mbappe.
The Mirror reports that “Real Madrid will play their last card to sign Mbappe. Mbappe’s transfer saga is far from over. Real Madrid want to sign Mbappe on deadline day of the summer transfer window.”
PSG have set a transfer fee of €250 million for Mbappe. That’s more than Neymar’s €222 million ($300 million), the highest transfer fee in history.
According to Defensa Central, “Real Madrid have set aside 130 million euros (188.3 billion won). The total amount is €175 million ($253.7 billion).”
Mbappe is one of the best players in Europe. He’s won a World Cup. However, he hasn’t won the UEFA Champions League. That includes his move to Real Madrid. Mbappe’s transfer saga is far from over.
