Tottenham moving so fast? They’re in open negotiations for a 2007-born wing
Tottenham Hotspur are getting an early start on the winter transfer window, having made a number of reinforcements compared to last season.
Tottenham signed central defender Radu Dragucin from Genoa for €30 million. Surprisingly, he entered the English Premier League as the most expensive player this winter as no other clubs spent money.
Striker Timo Werner joined on loan from Leipzig. It’s a full transfer. Tottenham spent practically nothing on Dragucin.
Instead, it’s full of players who have left Tottenham on loan. Sergio Reguillon headed to Brentford after returning from a loan spell at Manchester United, while Japhet Tanganga headed to Championship (second tier) Millwall after returning from Augsburg in Germany. Ivan Perisic, whose contract expires in June, headed to his native Croatia to play for Hajduk Split, while Alejo Veliz joined Sevilla on loan.
Eric Dier wore the red jersey of Bayern Munich. He was also linked with an outright transfer and has been playing right away in the starting lineup due to an injury to Dayo Upamecano.
Having cut back on big spending, Tottenham are preparing for a bidding war in the summer transfer window. “Tottenham have confirmed that they have opened talks with the representatives of FC Barcelona flanker Zafinha, who has been linked with a move to Liverpool in recent days,” the UK’s Team Talk reported on Friday.
Barcelona is still struggling financially. They need to get rid of some high-priced players. In attack, Hafinha and Ansou Fathi, who is out on loan to Brighton & Hove Albion, are both transfer targets upon his return.
While Hafinha has been sidelined by injury, 2007-born flanker Ramin Yamal has stepped up. He is almost a regular starter and is showing what he can do.
In terms of minutes played this season, Yamal has played 1,162 minutes in 23 games. Hapinha, on the other hand, has played just 15 games and 670 minutes. He’s also been pushed aside by Ferran Torres, so there’s been a lot of talk about him needing a new challenge.
Hapinha was the subject of interest from the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea, and Manchester United last summer. He joined Barcelona from Leeds United for £55 million in 2022, but has failed to impress.
Tottenham are looking for a new striker. With Son Heung-min away at the Asian Cup in Qatar, the rest of the forward line is holding up, but they’re missing winnable games. Eventually, the need for a 토토사이트 추천 player with a little more game experience or a future resource was realized, and Antonio Nusa (Club Brugge) was considered, but then Brentford came along. Surprisingly, a medical test revealed an abnormality that prevented him from joining the club.
We’re trying to approach Noosa again, but it’s not going to be easy. The presence of Son Heung-min is too much for Nusa, who wants to play immediately and is determined to get to Brentford.
The source added: ‘Spurs, whose bid for Nousa has fallen through, have held open talks with Hafinha’s representatives. Talks have taken place over the possibility of leaving Barcelona in the summer. The player is happy at Barcelona but could be forced to leave due to the club’s deteriorating finances,” emphasizing that a move to Tottenham is not out of the question.
He can play on both the left and right flanks. He will have to compete and coexist with the likes of Son Heung-min, Brennan Johnson, and Dejan Kluczewski. If Spurs finish in the top four and qualify for the UEFA Champions League (UCL) next season, the need for Hagna will be even greater.
