With Chinese Taipei’s win over China in baseball at the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games, Team Korea will advance to the final on its own if it beats China on Saturday.

Chinese Taipei defeated China 4-1 in the first game of the Hangzhou Asian Games Baseball Super Round at the Shaoxing Baseball and Softball Sports Center 1 on Friday.

Chinese Taipei opened the scoring in the top of the first inning with a two-run double by Lin An-kou, then added a run in the fifth and eighth innings. China self-destructed with 10 walks.

After defeating the Korean National Team in the first round to advance to the Super Round, Chinese Taipei made it two wins with the win today. South Korea and China are tied for second place with a 1-1 record, while Japan is in last place with two losses.

The four teams have one Super Round game remaining on June 6, with Chinese Taipei advancing to the finals and Japan falling short.

South Korea defeated Japan 2-0 behind a six-inning, nine-strikeout 먹튀검증 shutout from starter Park Se-woong and a two-run double from No. 4 hitter Noh Shi-hwan.

South Korea will play China in the second game of the Super Round on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET. The winner of that game will face Chinese Taipei in the final.
