Premiere of Jeju Shinhwa World Casino

In South Korea, real estate firm Landing International Development Limited reportedly announced on Sunday that it will open a 59,201-square-foot casino for the giant Jeju Shinhwa World Project.

A disclosure from a Hong Kong-listed company that received conditional relocation approval on Wednesday, according to a report by GGRASIA on Thursday. The upcoming foreign-only casino will be located inside the 617.7-acre Jeju Shinhwa World Marriott Resort Hotel, which offers about 239 slots with 155 game tables.

GGRASIA reports Landing International Development Limited originally planned to open a casino for Jeju’s Shinhwa World in December, but postponed the premiere several times while waiting for permission to relocate units from similar facilities operating inside the nearby Hyatt Regency Jeju Hotel.

According to reports, “The company expects the landing casino to be one of the key attractions for visitors at the same time as the relocation of Jeju Shinhwa World, as it will provide visitors with a complete world-class hospitality, leisure, and entertainment experience,” read a statement from the Landing International Development Company.

Known as Shinhwa and History Parks and Resort World Jeju, Jeju Shinhwa World already has multi-purpose convention facilities, a pair of luxury hotels, and an amusement park with 20 rides in seven districts. In addition, April Land International Development Co., Ltd. opened the 344 unit Somerset Jeju Shinhwa World condominium complex at the Jeju venue, where guests can enjoy a spa with a water park, 25 retail stores, and various restaurants.

According to reports, with the relocation of the landing casino to Jeju Shinhwa World, we will be one of the few integrated resort operators in Jeju and [Korea] to provide visitors with a complete world-class hospitality, leisure and entertainment experience.

In related news, GGRASIA further reported Wednesday that Landing International Development Limited reported financial results for the 12-month period through the end of December, posting a profit of just over $64.5 million, compared with a loss of $140.6 million for the whole of 2016.

According to reports, the Chinese company reported that Jeju Shinhwa World’s annual revenue reached about $8.9 million, while its business in Hyatt Regency Jeju posted a deficit of $14.9 million in 2017, compared with $11.9 million in the previous 12 months. 릴게임
