Lee Hyun-Jung Ilawarra teammates named to 3×3 Australia squad

Two of Lee Hyun-jung’s Illawarra teammates have been named to the 3×3 squad.

The Illawarra Hawks announced on their official website today that Todd Blanchfield and William Hickey have been named to the Australian Men’s National Team for the 2024 FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup. They join Josh Davey 온라인카지노 and James O’Connell on the final roster.

Blanchfield is a 1991-born forward who averaged 4.4 points and 2.5 rebounds in 12.6 minutes in 30 games this season. He has played in both the 5-on-5 and 3-on-3 formats for the national team. He played in the 2017 FIBA Asia Cup and the 2021 Asia Cup Qualifiers.

Blanchfield also played in last year’s 3×3 Asia Cup. Along with Daniel Johnson, Lucas Walker and Andrew Steele, he led Australia to the final, where they lost 18-21 to Mongolia and had to settle for runner-up honors.

Hickey, who was selected alongside Blanchfield, is a 1999-born prospect. In his second year with Illawarra, he averaged 5.2 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 12 minutes per game in 25 games this season.

Meanwhile, the 3×3 Asia Cup will be held in Singapore from March 27-31. South Korea, coached by Lee Seung-joon, will play in the qualifying draw in Group B alongside Indonesia, Sri Lanka and the Northern Mariana Islands. Australia is drawn in Pool C with Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tahiti. The Qualifying Draw is a 15-team group stage with four groups, with only the top team from each group advancing to the Main Draw.
