Lee Ho-hyun, Heo Woong, Choi Jun-yong, Lee Seung-hyun, KCC’s best have already played together? Back to the Future 2014

“This is the starting lineup for the Futures team: Lee Ho-hyun, Choi Jun-yong, Heo Woong, Lee Seung-hyun, and Lee Jong-hyun.”

Busan KCC signed Choi Jun-yong and Lee Ho-hyun, who became free agents in the offseason. With national team members Heo Woong, Lee Seung-hyun, and Ragan-ah, 스포츠토토 KCC has built a national team-caliber lineup with the addition of Choi Jun-yong and reinforced the number one spot with Lee Ho-hyun.

KCC’s best lineup in the new season is Lee Ho-hyun, Heo Woong, Choi Jun-yong, Lee Seung-hyun, and Ragan-ah. Four of these players graduated from different universities but have played together in the past. Heo Woong and Choi Jun-yong are from Yonsei University, Lee Seung-hyun is from Korea University, and Lee Ho-hyun is from Chung-Ang University. How did the current KCC’s most elite members manage to play together after graduating from different schools?

Let’s go back to 2014. It was a hot summer day and the 2014 KB Kookmin Bank College Basketball All-Star Game was held on June 14 at Yonsei University Gymnasium. The Young Stars were made up of players from Kyung Hee University, Dongguk University, Konkuk University, Myungji University, and Sungkyunkwan University, and included Han Hee-won (KT), Jung Hyo-geun (Kwanjang), and Choi Won-hyuk (SK), while the Futures were made up of players from Korea University, Yonsei University, Dankook University, Chungang University, Chosun University, and Sangmyung University. Lee Ho-hyun, Heo Woong, Choi Jun-yong, and Lee Seung-hyun were on the Futures team.

The Futures started with Lee Ho-hyun, Heo Woong, Choi Jun-yong, Lee Seung-hyun, and Lee Jong-hyun. In the first quarter, Lee Ho-hyun made a no-look pass to Choi Jun-yong, who passed the ball to Heo Woong, who finished with a three-point shot. Choi then passed to Heo Woong in the right corner for an outside shot. Heo also took a screen from Lee Seung-hyun and attempted a three-pointer.

In the second half, they continued to work together. Lee Ho-hyun assisted Heo Woong on back-to-back outside shots. Heo stole the ball from his opponent and passed it to Choi Jun-yong, who finished it off perfectly with a two-handed dunk. The game ended in a 133-113 victory for the Futures, and Heoung was named MVP with 32 points and three assists.

It was thought that we would never see an all-star lineup with players from multiple universities on the same team again, but in 2023, it happened again. The four KCC players who were part of the starting lineup for the Futures will have fond memories of that time and can boast a fantastic chemistry in the 2023-2024 season.

Meanwhile, the College Basketball All-Star Game, which began in 2012, is now history as it was canceled in 2015 in the wake of the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) outbreak. The event format allowed the best players in college to play on the same team, and it was a time to see the smiles on the faces of players who now face each other as enemies.
