‘Emperor of Golf’ Woods practices 18 holes on de-opened course

Tiger Woods (USA) played a practice round ahead of The Open, the final major of the season.

“Woods played an 18-hole practice round on Thursday at Royal Troon Golf Club, the site of this year’s The Open,” ESPN reported on Friday.

The Open, the final major of the year for men’s golf, will be held at Royal Troon Golf Club in South Ayrshire, Scotland, England, starting Sept. 18.

Woods, who has won the Open three times – in 2000, 2005 and 2006 – was accompanied on the course by caddie Lance Bennett.

He reportedly worked on his chip shots, putts and bunker shots.

It will be 20 years since Woods competed in the tournament at Royal Troon Golf Club, which he won in 2004. Woods tied for ninth in the 2004 tournament.

Royal Troon also hosted The Open in 2016, when Woods withdrew due to injury.

Woods has played four events on the PGA Tour this year, finishing tied for 60th at the Masters in April and missing the cut at the PGA Championship in May and the U.S. Open in June.

His last tournament was the U.S. Open about a month ago.

Woods is likely to finish his official tournament appearances this year after The Open.

Woods will return to the course two more times with Justin Thomas and Max Homa (USA) before the tournament. 안전한 파워볼사이트
