Der Licht to be investigated by Munich police over alleged hit-and-run
Bayern Munich center back Matthias der Licht is being investigated for alleged hit-and-run.
German media outlet Bild reported on Monday (Sept. 9) that “Munich police are investigating the center back for suspicion of hit-and-run. He allegedly hit a parked car near the Munich stadium on Zevener Strasse on the morning of Aug. 8 and drove away.”
Dutch national Der Licht is a center back. His biggest strength is his buildup from the back. He can contribute to the development of the offense with accurate long and short passes. He is also a solid defender and has the ability to win aerial battles and score goals.
Der Licht is a former member of the AFC Ajax youth team. As captain in 2018-19, he led Ajax to their peak season. In the UEFA Champions League, he led the team to the quarterfinals under Van Gaal. Ahead of the 2019-20 season, De Ligt joined Juventus.
